  11. As many of you know, Gateway Computers has purchased all rights and
  12. technology to the Amiga computer! Gateway Computers has established 
  13. Amiga International, Inc. as the worldwide sales organization with 
  14. Petro as it's president.
  15.  
  16. Team *AMIGA* is excited by these developments and feels that the 
  17. time is close for us to realize Rick Lembree's dream of offering 
  18. our assistance to Amiga International and Gateway Computers as 
  19. their official *Amiga* user group!

  24. In the FidoNet AMIGA echo, we started our own "kick in the pants"
  25. response to the PC's TEAM OS/2. It has taken off like wildfire! We'd
  26. like to extend an invitation to every Amiga devotee, everywhere! We
  27. have hundreds of members from countries worldwide and from Fido,
  28. UseNet, the on-line services, nets and bbs's all over the world.
  29. Some of our members do not have internet/fido access, but STILL
  30. they support the Amiga in their local User Groups and on their
  31. local bbs!

  33. It's FREE! There are NO dues! There are NO rules! There is only one
  34. officer! We are are a worldwide group of Amiga enthusiasts who are
  35. willing to support the user base, third party Amiga developers,
  36. commercial Amiga companies, pd/shareware/commercial Amiga
  37. programmers, and, of course, the Amiga's parent companies, Gateway
  38. Computers & Amiga International Inc. As a group, we enjoy our 
  39. Amiga's and use them in every facet of computing from casual home 
  40. use to commercial applications.

  42. To join, all you have to do is:

  44. 1)  Be an Amiga enthusiast willing to talk about the virtues of the
  45. Amiga to anyone and everyone you meet who is interested in computers.
  46.  
  47. 2)  If you decide to join, fill out the application below and send it
  48. to me so I can add you to our growing database. This database is
  49. being kept and will be forwarded to Amiga International,Inc. (Petro) 
  50. should they decide to pick up the ball and run with it. This database 
  51. may also be shared with Amiga support companies so that they have an 
  52. up to date listing of Amiga users worldwide. This means you may get
  53. commercial solicitations from AMIGA companies offering specials or new
  54. product listings!

  56. One objective of *Team AMIGA*, of course, is to get as many Amiga
  57. enthusiasts worldwide to make a statement of support, but another
  58. objective, is to show Amiga International, Inc. how much of a mistake
  59. it would be to not adequately support Amiga computer users and third
  60. party companies worldwide.

  62. 3)  Always acknowledge that *Rick Lembree* was the one who started
  63. all this! Without Rick's solid dedication, enthusiasm, and deter-
  64. mination to make Team *Amiga* happen, none of this would have been
  65. possible. We miss you Rick!

  67. 4)  Know and understand that your stats will be in a database kept
  68. by me (Gary Peake) and not released to anyone without general
  69. consensus of the members. Team *AMIGA* reserves the right to release
  70. this database to any *AMIGA* related company for the purpose of
  71. contacting Team *AMIGA* members with specials on hardware, software
  72. or other Amiga related products.
